Could it be chicken pox? Only been back at school 5 days

My son went back to school 5 days ago and 2 days after returning he was poorly with vomiting and dirhhea. Been off colour all weekend and not eating much which I assumed was a stomach virus from school. Just this afternoon I notice a rash all over him. His groin his belly his back his face! Iv snapped a picture of his belly, do they look like chicken pox and could it be chicken pox if he only went back To school 5 days ago?

Does look like it. He could've caught it before the holidays as the incubation period is usually about 2 weeks (range is 10-21 days).
If it is chickenpox, more spots will pop up over the next hours / days.

Yes and yes, he was probably exposed before he went back to school.
