I was wondering if anyone might be able to help - my son had a bonded retainer fitted to his upper jaw this morning. He cannot bite his teeth together! So eating is a challenge. His bottom teeth rest directly on the retainer so he would need to bite down on it and even when he does, the back teeth don't touch. He's had full orthodontic treatment and dental stuff too over the years so he's had dental pain and the tightening of train tracks; always fine with it all, but this just doesn't seem quite right. I phoned the orthodontic therapist back who said it should settle in a few days.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
