Stomach bug?

DS4 was sick on Saturday evening, straight after dinner. No other symptoms apart from being a bit tired during the day. No stomach ache or anything in the lead up. Thought all ok as then had toast before bed and kept down, but still treated as stomach bug.

no other symptoms until midday Sunday when he was sick again. Seems a long time to go without being sick for a stomach bug?

He then went all afternoon yesterday and overnight with no symptoms, normal appetite etc. But has now had an episode of diarrhoea this morning (again no stomach ache beforehand, just went to loo as normal)

Does this seem a strange way for a big to manifest? Normally they're quite intense so the large gaps between symptoms seems strange to me!

Sounds like a stomach bug to me. They're weird sometimes. I've got 9 children and I remember 1 where the eldest was young and she was sick every night for 5 nights. Seemed ok during the day but sick every night. Others where they're sick a few times in short succession and then absolutely fine. Bouts of diarrhoea but otherwise nothing wrong. Then others that go on for days. Ds5 has just had one (very fortunately and with lots of bleach confined it to only him) He was sick 3 times on Monday evening with temperature. Tuesday he wanted to eat but didn't keep it down, same Wednesday - still had. A temperature, didn't eat Thursday or Friday and then woke up on Saturday saying he felt better. No diarrhoea at all, which given the other symptoms and longevity of it I was surprised at.
