Eye problem

My son saw the paediatrician a few weeks ago I got the report back my son got a squint one eye he got get his checked out next month it say on the letter that he has a red reflex of the eyes sm not sure with he’s CV on a waiting list to get that check out to my son is 19 months old has anyone children had this before not understanding it

A red reflex is normal. It’s a basic way of detecting a cataract or other eye issues in a young child - when it is more difficult to assess the health of their eye.
You son will be referred to ophthalmology to have their squint treated - it’s pretty common so please don’t worry.
