Hi mums
My 4 year old little girl still seem to drool throughout the day and I just assumed it was still quite normal at this age until her nursery key worker asked about it and asked If I've seen anyone about it, any mums any advice

How is her speech?

doyouwantachuffedybadge · 21/02/2022 20:55

Can she swallow? ring her to the doctors as she could have an obstruction that's stopping her swallowing.

Juanbablo · 21/02/2022 20:56

Does she snore? Could be large tonsils.

TheUsualShitshow · 21/02/2022 20:56

My friend's son does this due to him being hyper mobile, has she always done it?

Juanbablo · 21/02/2022 20:56

Or maybe a tongue tie.

My 3 year old has started this recently. She's 4 in a few months. I had thought it might be molars coming through? I wasn't overly worried

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 21/02/2022 20:57

What's her diet like? Does she eat plenty of chewy foods or is it still quite soft and requiring little chewing?

Scottishmumma3117 · 21/02/2022 20:58

Her speech is fine and she does snore sometime, just thought it was normal thing

I know a boy like this (age 4) & he's recently had an ENT referral - I think they suspect large tonsils. I would see your gp.

Thisisbatshit · 21/02/2022 21:04

Another here suggesting tonsils. My DD dribbled even age 3 (my first do I didn't think it odd) it stopped the day she had ger tonsils removed. Children shouldn't snore if they are well. DD used to snore so loudly we could hear her from downstairs.
