Red mark on baby’s foot

Just curious if anyone had seen this sort of mark before? It’s just shown up this morning on my 11 week old. Blanching, not raised or warm and doesn’t seem to be causing any pain when pressed.

Any ideas?

Could he have scratched himself?

Forgot to add - the baby slept wearing a onesie type sleepsuit. No socks etc.

Could be a birthmark or mole beginning? But best to get it checked at that age I think.

@heldinadream I think that’s possible. He may have done it overnight during nappy changes, but there’s no scratch to the skin that I can see.

@thinkfast Yeah, I think I’ll keep an eye tomorrow then phone the GP on Monday if it’s still there as he’s so young.
