What is this rash?

Any guesses? The pharmacist thinks it’s a bacterial infection. My Mum thinks it’s ringworm. We haven’t managed to get a GP appointment yet. The rash first appeared about a month ago only to go away a few days later. It has reappeared a few times since then.

Both my children got a similar rash after eating tomatoes. Is there a pattern to when this rash has appeared?

Update:

I finally managed to get him to a GP. The GP said that it’s impetigo and prescribed fusidic acid. Oddly enough I’ve had impetigo a few times myself and when I’ve had impetigo it looked nothing like the rash on his face .

@OldMMC He chewed on some shoes just before the rash appeared. I can’t think of anything else that might have caused it.
