Just a bit of advice. My LG has been under the weather this week. At the start of the week she had a temp, flushed cheeks (and I mean bright red cheeks) and sore throat. We kept her at home. She was drinking eating and kept on top of pain relief. She has now came out with spots all around her face, one on her leg, one on her wrist. I instantly thought hand foot and mouth. We called our gp who couldn't get us an appointment but eventually gave us one at another surgery miles away.
The gp that we saw told us it didn't look like HFAM but actually bacterial caused from her throat. Prescribed antibiotics and cream.
But something just isn't sitting right with me. She was around another little girl a week ago who had HFAM (we obviously didn't know) perhaps just a coincidence?
But she now has blister like spots appearing on her ears, one on her eye. She has sores at the cracks of both ears in between her lobe and cheek. And she's now getting a little sore in her privates.
I'm not concerned about her when it's comes to eating/drinking/temperature etc as she's so much better in herself. But more concerned about the rash she seems to be developing. We have booked a second opinion at our gp tomorrow, but wondered if anyone has any ideas. There is chicken pox, scarlet fever and HFAM going around. Or is it just bacterial?
Unfortunately as I’m a new user I’m not allowed to post the pictures that I’d taken. But thought as I’d already wrote this out someone might have some advice.
Thank you in advance.
