Ankle injury

Yesterday dd (12) had an accident at school (she was on heelys at the time that belong to school) and bended her ankle falling on the outside part of it. There is no bruising or swelling and only it really hurts when she tries to move it where it becomes really painful. She won't put any weight on it as it's too painful and she has wobbled over when she tried on one occasion. She has ASD so it is making the situation difficult to assess as I can't get straight answers and I can't be certain how much not putting weight on it is pain or anxiety or a mix of both. We have been resting, elevating and applying ice for 10mins at a time.

I am not sure what to do if she continues not to be able to walk on it? Do I need to get it seen even if it's likely just a sprain? I don't want to waste anyones time at a and e and it's hours to wait also which she would find hard.

If she's struggling to walk take her to minor injuries unit ideally but otherwise ED.
