Looks fungal or like shingles
Has he had chicken pox before?

Lolabray · 07/02/2022 21:53

Blisters could be impetigo I’d get him to the doc x

Impetigo. Keep off school. Get to doctors

fairlygoodmother · 07/02/2022 21:55

Does it itch or hurt or both?
Either way, he needs GP. If it’s shingles the sooner they start antivirals the better.

anniewaitsforacall · 07/02/2022 21:56

It looks a lot how facial shingles started for me. Blistery fluid filled rash? Is it v itchy/sore? If it is, getting antivirals asap makes a huge difference. You will get cream OTC but need tablets prescribed to really stop it in its tracks.

Branleuse · 07/02/2022 21:57

Impetigo

Southtrainer · 07/02/2022 21:58

Could it be herpes simplex? Google pictures and it looks similar. Most kids pick it up from each other by sharing cups etc x

hannsmum · 07/02/2022 22:00

It's not itchy at all

He doesn't even know it's there

It's impetigo

AnyFucker · 07/02/2022 22:01

Herpes simplex or impetigo

han01uk · 07/02/2022 22:03

Impetigo by the looks of it. Needs antibiotics, do not send to school as highly contagious.

hannsmum · 07/02/2022 22:06

Thank you

Will take him to the doc tomorrow

Looks like impetigo. My older son had that. The doctor didn't tell me to keep him off school, so I dropped him off on the way home. The next I knew was a phone call from the head to come and collect him. He had been writing his news and asked his teacher how to spell impetigo.

bananaleafy · 07/02/2022 22:08

Impetigo.

Allpenguinsarepingus · 07/02/2022 22:09

Cold sore? (Herpes simplex). Cold sores look a lot like shingles. Same family of viruses.
