Hello!
Is this normal? He did have abit of a cold a few days ago but he doesmt have a fever or temperature now, just a slight runny nose
He does sometimes have what I think are night terrors
About 30 minutes after falling asleep his hair will be wet from sweating, is it something to worry about?

It sounds unusual. Probably nothing but book a call w GP.

My middle son was like this at about that age, lasted about a year and then it stopped. He would be drenched about 30 mins into sleeping. Dr wasn't worried as he was otherwise healthy.

My son sweats buckets in his sleep and from running around. I never even thought about it, he is all muscle and doesn't have an ounce of fat on him!

Have you got a thermometer in the room? What is he wearing? What tog is his duvet?

If the room is 20+ and my son wears long sleeved pjs & his 4 tog duvet, he sweats but the room cools down in the night.

I go back in once he's asleep, move the duvet to only be on his legs which are bare (wears nappy). Once I go to sleep, I put his pjs bottoms on.

DD6 sweats buckets for the first hour of sleep when perfectly well. I tried keeping the room cooler but then she'd be frozen to the touch in the night often with the blankets kicked off. Now I just keep the room around 20 degrees and use a 1 tog duvet or fleece cover so she's not too warm under the cover but warm enough later when she's kicked them off. I've never thought to have it checked out tbh Blush

My son was like that until puberty. It's freezing outside and he just wears short sleeves under his coat. Nothing to worry about, they told me. I was the same when I was a kid. Some people sweat more than others.
