BF Baby poo

Hello,

Wasn't quite sure which thread to put this in.

My baby is 3 months old and exclusively breast fed - I've just been noticing over the last few weeks that his poo isn't 'seedy' anymore. It's still mustard coloured and soft.

Has anyone else had experience with this?

He also only poos once a week (for which I've been reassured is normal)

I'm not due for a nurse visit for another month, so I thought I'd ask here on mn.

Thankyou!

My breastfed 4 month old seems to vary between frequent and infrequent poo patterns... I've noticed that when there are more days in between poos, the consistency becomes more paste like with no 'seeds'. This article was quite useful when I was wondering what was going on! Apparently the paste like texture is down to differences in absorption due to the poo spending longer in the gut.

Thanks so much for sharing! That makes sense and seems to fit our situation I appreciate it Smile
