Infected toe (picture)

DS has had this toe infection for 3 weeks now. Think his toenail was cut too short. He's had 2 lots of antibiotics the first helped the second did nothing. We are now waiting on a swab result. I've tried the mag sulphate and it does help, but he has to wear shoes and go to school so it flares up again. The nail was initially loose, but has now formed up.

Anyone else had similar and what worked? Tia he

Sorry not had this but has doc ever prescribed Fucidin antibiotic cream? We have had that for various skin infections. Not sure if that would help you.
Your poor DS that does look sore. Hope it resolves soon

@MarshaBradyo What cream and wash do you have? I've tried salt washes.

He has Fucidin acid 2% cream

And Hibiscrub 4% solution

GP prescribed

The first course antibiotics didn’t work much

It’s really annoying! It’s along the side of the toenail and hard to fix
