HELP! I'm a new mum and my newborn isn't pooping! Been to the GP and because he was going every 24 hours they were happy but he's so uncomfortable when he's trying to go?
We were on Aptimil but GP suggested C&G comfort to see if it was any gentler on his stomach. We've been on that for 5 days and there has been no improvement and he's now went 24 hours with no poop!
We've tried leg peddling, warm baths and tummy massage! No luck!
Anybody suffered similar? Hate seeing him so distressed

I think seven days was my DS2 record. He was breastfed though so I don't know if that makes a difference. As long as he has wet nappies I wouldn't worry at this point, have you spoken to the HV? They may be able to advise.

Poor poppet. Keep going cycling the legs gently, patting his back, if you’ve got a vibrating bouncer that can also help shift things along.

10 days was the longest my DS held on to one. He was only a few months old. Had to go for a suppository at that point. But from birth he would only go every 2 or 3 days. He's 8 now and still the same sometimes.
