Hello
My 15month old was starting to get really confident with his walking however, on Friday afternoon he took a tumble which resulted in an a&e trip ... he had an X-ray on his leg but doc advised there were no broken bones showing but then lead to say he will need to go back for an X-ray a week on Monday as baby bones can show a break a week later.
Over the weekend he's started to crawl again and grow confidence with how fast hes moving. However he just won't stand on it and if he does he will stand on his good leg and lift his bad leg up.

I've been feeling his leg and he doesn't wine or cry when I touch it (he screamed when it was touched on Friday)

It hasn't affected his sleeping or eating ... you wouldn't never know his leg hurt unless you watched him stand.
He sits on his knees and bounces up and down with no issues.

Do you reckon it's fear he's not put it down? Or it is pain, should I call the hospital tomorrow? Is this normal?

Please advise. My anxiety is through the roof thinking if he has broke it will that knock his confidence to walk and set him back 😭 1000 things running through my mind

Thanks mums x

My son took a tumble off the sofa at any the same age, his dad caught him but he obviously landed a bit on his arm. He would still crawl on it but would lift it or go down on it after a couple of goes. He didn't cry unless trying to crawl on it and even then he stopped as soon as he took weight off. It did turn out to have a small fracture but he only needed a Velcro splint for 2 weeks no hospital follow up needed or anything. He was back crawling on it splint and all after a day. Fingers crossed no breaks for you not at that age they wee bones heal incredibly quickly

If it's not getting worse or crying in pain, I'd say it's just sore. Give it a few more days. It happens to all of us. My advice is What would you tell a friend? When it's our own we always worry so much more.
