Fever day 6

My daughter is currently on day 6 of having a fever. We've seen the gp and a doctor at the hospital and both have said viral but I'm really starting to be concerned? The fever goes to normal with paracetamol and ibuprofen. But can a viral fever really last this long?

It can. The fact it's coming down with meds is reassuring how high is it? How are they in themselves?

If you dont feel happy with the doctors then take your child back

It seems to be around 38.3-38.6. When I put her to bed it was around 36.4 (so completely normal) but when ive just checked on her it's back to 38.3 :( I just don't know what to do. But as you can see it's giving me sleepless nights

She is okay in herself. But her cough was bothering her. And if we don't give her meds and the temp climbs she gets very upset

Have you done a Covid test?

Yes pcr test done Friday; negative x
