Teen with possible IBS?

Poor dd has been up all night, started with a gassy tummy which turned into Diarrhoea. This seems to be happening at least once a month. Dd contracted Trichinosis just over 6 months ago from eating raw meat, dd is autistic and likes to eat whatever she can lay her hands on and she likes to over eat, despite how much she eats she is underweight. I an mow getting worried and she’s having so many days off school due to the 48 hour rule. I’m wondering if the Trichinosis may have caused IBS? Or she may still have the bacteria/parasite in her system?

I will contact her GP today and ask for advice but just wondering if anyone else’s teen has similar symptoms with IBS? Gassy tummy, watery diarrhoea, not gaining weight?

She’s been awake now since 1am, at 3am she looked pretty awful (pale) but now at 5am she seems a little better and is drinking and playing on her iPad.

Get her some good probiotics to help stomach and also get her seen at GP for blood tests etc. - if she is eating well but underweight that is somerthing thst needs looking into.

Thank you, I have spoken to the GP and they want to send of 2 stool samples, one to check for any food poisoning/bacteria and the other to check for inflammation (colitis, Crohn’s and IBS), we also have a face to face appointment in a few weeks.
