Coughing whilst using inhaler

Hi my 4 year old had covid a few months ago then constant colds. He hasn't stopped coughing for around 6 weeks now even with out colds. So the dr perscibed him a inhaler. Hes now using a blue and brown one. He uses a spacer and mask and does great but sometimes as I spray he coughs. Would he still get the medicine that was sprayed ? If the mask stays firm on his face or should I be pressing another time ? Any help would be appreciated. The dr is so hard to get appointment and I learnt most of what I know of YouTube video on how to use the inhaler.

I'd say if the mask is tight then the medicine is still in there and he can breathe it in on the next inhale. Does your GP have an app that you can contact them to ask that question?

My dd had inhaler and spacer from 4 month old, diagnosed with asthma at 2 years and doctor told me that her coughing or crying was a good thing as on the deep inhale in they would get the medicine

Yeah as PPs have said I think it’s fine as long as the mask is tight. The medicine isn’t going anywhere while he coughs and he’ll just do a big inhale afterwards. Hope he feels better soon!
