Ear infection getting worse not better

Has anyone had this before? My 11 yo has an ear infection, she started antibiotics on Monday but it seemed to get a bit worse so we went back to the gp who said the ear drum had perforated and gave her some antibiotic spray to help clear it quicker. She seems worse today if anything. Pain is worse and her glands have come up and she just looks peaky and unwell where she has seemed fine in herself all week. I'm not a worrier usually but it's starting to make me feel uneasy - why is it getting worse and if i take her back to the gp Monday what more can they do? Tia.

If it’s getting worse then contact out of hours. Oral antibiotics may work better.

Thank you I will. She has got oral antibiotics but only a couple of days worth so I expected an improvement by now

Sometimes a different antibiotic works better. I'd take her back, especially with Christmas coming up. My daughter was prescribed antibiotics for an ear infection this week and the gp said to go back if there's no improvement within a week.
