Hello,
Unfortunately my 9 year old son had an accident 2.5 years ago which resulted in chipping his front tooth and he had to have a cap fitted. Recently he has had tooth pain and the local dentist has x-rayed and examined his tooth and said he probably need a root canal. I am waiting to hear back from the paediatric endodontist in our nearest big city (Oz) as it can’t be done locally to us.
However, in the meantime I am worrying and wondering what the likely outcome will be, if a root canal is always required and the long term impacts. Please can someone take some time to explain things?
I have a copy of his X-ray and report. He is on antibiotics now and the pain has gone. He could feel the cold test and there is no discolouration of the tooth.
Thank you.
