Childrens Flu Vaccine

Has anyone else had issues in getting their child a flu vaccine this year? Those that want them anyway! The school jabs were postponed at the start of November due to staff sickness and a new date has still not been rearranged. I've been in contact with the school immunisation team and managed to get an appointment for DD at a community clinic in January - I'm having to go completely out of the area though as the school vaccination team cover the whole county and there are no appointments local to me. When I've questioned as to how it is possible that another date has not been rearranged yet I'm told that flu season is up to March so they can vaccinate at any time up until then. I just can't see the point in vaccinating a child potentially a couple of weeks before the flu season finished.

I was just wondering if this was an issue a few people were having or if this is rare?

They were given a bit later this year, I think end of November when normally I'm sure they were done October. Other than that no issues. We are in London.

Yes ours was rearranged for start of December. For some reason my son wasn’t called out for his so was missed. Haven’t been able to get it elsewhere.
