4 week cough

Hi,
My Dc is 6,
For the last 4 weeks he has had a cough, It's dry and some days are worse than others but he is coughing maybe 3x every 5mins.
He has had 2PCR tests- negative and so many lft- all negative.
He is on over counter meds, Ive used vix on chest and humidifier in room.

Second Dr visit yesterday and they simply said ' come back in 2 weeks '.
Chest is clear which is great.

Dc is otherwise totally fine, dancing around, eating ,drinking ect.

I plan to go back to Dr on monday as he is getting quite tired constantly coughing though as its interuppting everything, sleepinh, talking, eating.

Any advice please?

I hope your dc is better. Mines is the same too. Has the cough gotten better?

My daughter was like this and although chest was clear. She had some redness in her ears and throat. It took 3 doctors appointment to get antibiotics and they kept saying it's viral. The antibiotics helped the cough after 3 doses. It felt like her cough magically disappeared.
