Pre period symptoms

How long before your dd's first period did she start getting symptoms? Dd1 is 12. No period yet but has started getting cramps every now and again around every 6 weeks. Sometimes this comes with bowel changes, loads of mood swings, very tired...

Any mums of teen girls that can share their experiences? Thx

It's not really the thing people share about their children. Sharing your own private health online with strangers - up to you. Sharing your child's - not up to you.

Seriously? In a children's health forum on a parenting site? Have you read any of the other threads on here!!? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ignore the pp, it's an anonymous forum, of course you can ask.
My dd had a couple of stomach aches and raised temperature a couple of months before she started her periods at age 12.

Sadly OP, this is a topic beloved of perverts and a lot of posters are suspicious of anyone asking those sorts of questions.

Did you post earlier about your 12 yo and covid vaccine?

Sorry, I was scrolling through 'active' didn't realise it was children's health. I'm usually scrolling thought at midnight + so tend to have my perve radar on with these kinds of posts.

Fair enough. Not being pervy, I promise. Just a concerned mum!

Have just realised which thread you're referring to. No that one wasn't mine. I posted at the weekend regarding late side effects of dd1's first jab.

Hi my daughter complains of abdominal pain especially at night, she's 12 , near her belly button and under it on the right side..and across her pelvis horizontally.. GP doesn't suspect it to be appendix. She has the same irritable bowel symptoms (pain sometimes after she has food) and constipation.

Luvlymas · 22/12/2021 20:51

I dunno what it is either..

My 13 year old daughter has for a few months now been suffering from very loose bowels for a few days each month. Her chest hasn’t started developing yet but “stings” every now and then too. Are these signs that her period may start soon? I’m in my 40’s now and can’t remember pre-periods 😮Thanks.
