My child used to be so good with his sleep, in his own cot by 8 and sleeping through to at least 8 the next morning.
However he’s now one and for a while his sleeping pattern has been totally messed up. I can’t remember the last time he slept in his cot for a whole night. And his 8pm bedtime is becoming midnight or 1am.
I’ve tried still waking him around 8am regardless and then he’s having a nap around 11am. Then around 7:30 ish he’s falling asleep but it’s like he’s treating that as another nap. Half hour to an hour and he’s up again until around 1.
He never used to be like this, he was so good with his sleeping. But now even when I see he’s getting tired around 7:30 I could put him in his cot and it would be like he was never tired.
He’s not woken up at all today until just before midday, which I wouldn’t normally do but it’s tiring me so much I’ve slept straight through too with him.
I thought it was just a sleep regression but it’s been months. I just want him to sleep like he used to all night in his own bed.
