Hi, I've recently picked up a cough and a runny nose.... I've noticed my 12 week old is starting to sneeze a lot! Is she catching what I have if so what can I do to help her. I worry about her catching anything as she's still really young.

My ds caught a cold at 3 weeks old and my other ds had chicken pox at 7 weeks. It's scary but they're more robust than you think.

They aren't so delicate as you think. Dd was born as Ds started school (years ago pre covid) so he was bringing all sorts of germs and viruses home. She had a couple of colds as a baby. The worst part is when their nose gets blocked but you can buy snot sucker things (not sure on correct name). Dd also had chicken pox as a baby.

Although it's not nice for them, I do believe it helped build DD's immune system and she rarely got ill when she started pre school/school herself - unlike Ds who caught everything when he started as he hadn't been exposed!

My 10 week old currently has the second cold of her little life (caught from her brother who is at nursery). She is handling it better than my husband 🤷‍♀️.

At least at 12 weeks you can use snuffle babe/infant olbas oil and calpol if they get a fever.

Hi, I find myself forever asking questions on here! First time mum 😱

My baby girl is 13 weeks old on Friday.. every poo she has is explosive and very messy, it goes all up her back and seems very soft sometimes it seems like there is water mixed with it as her baby grow sometimes looks a little wet(might be pee).. she is only bottle formula fed. Is this Normal?? She does not poop everyday.

Very normal in my experience! But if you're concerned or she doesn't seem happy then speak to your health visitor about it.

Saline nose drops work pretty well for congested little ones.

My 12 week old started with congestion last week. She's still bunged up now. Been Doctors they said her chest is clear just use saline drops. But I now appear to have the cold. Is it normal to catch a cold from babies or have got another one. I don't want to make her sick again ( not covid had tests they are negative). I'm probably just a paranoid first time mum.
