Sensitivity to Light-worried

Hi,
I have an opticians appointment booked in December for my 6 year old daughter but wanted to see if anyone had experienced photophobia or a sensitivity to light?

She really struggles both with direct sunlight and flashes (photography etc) no other conditions like headaches or eye flickering and it's only in one eye?

Would be grateful if anyone has any other experience of this to share?

Thanks

DH has this. He has lenses that go dark when outside. He gets very occasional migraines but otherwise it hasn't affected him much.

The kids and I think it's quite funny that he often turns lights off when he goes into rooms. Most people do the opposite....

Does she have any other sensory sensitivities or issues?

Hi op, I wondered how you got on with tbis? My nearly 2 year old suffers like this. We’ve been given eye drops to see if they help

Hi, we went to both docs and opticians; nothing abnormal diagnosed just the fact she’s a red head with very pale skin could be a natural factor. They said she should grow out of it. Hope your little one does too xx
