Constantly poorly

Hi,
My 5 year old has been poorly for about 6 weeks now. He was diagnosed with tonsillitis and a chest infection- has been on four lots of antibiotics and the infection has still not lifted. He had to go back to the GP on Thursday just gone and they can’t give him any more antibiotics and there is now high levels of protein in his urine.

GP has referred him to the hospital for proper tests but she has said with Covid there is a massive back log.
We have woken up this morning and he’s still coughing with pus on his tonsils and he looks so ill. Last night he couldn’t get off the loo for constantly weeing and His behaviour is quite shocking at the moment too and I just feel like I should be doing more! Would it be worth me ringing 111 to ask for advice or will it just be a waste of time?
Anyone ever gone through this?lm totally at a loss to what to do next and don’t think it’s right how he’s just not getting any better but we just have to wait.

Thank you xx

I would give 111 a ring for some advise.

Sorry he's so poorly and can't get anymore meds. Hopefully they can advise something for him

I'd ring 111 too. Have the gp said you just have to leave it to run it's course then? That sounds so scary, poor thing. I hope you manage to get some answers!
