Is this chickenpox?

So apparently there is chickenpox, covid and the usual cold viruses going round at DS's school at the moment. So I am not sure what to treat him for!

Day 1: He complained about headaches for a bit and then tummy ache but no other symptoms and appetite fine etc

Day 2: he developed a fever after school. This reached up to about 39 C overnight, went down easily with calpol but he also started being sick, could barely keep water down.

Day 3: now temperature seems to have gone (although we shall see, as he took calpol early in the morning so might be because of that). Stopped throwing up. Appetite is back and he's eating non stop. He has developed three spots on his belly and back. They look like chickenpox, small, red, but of fluid. He doesn't seem too bothered by them and so far there's only 3.

We are testing him for covid just in case but does this sound typical for chickenpox? I thought he'd be covered in spots by now if it were... also strange that they don't seem itchy, he's not complaining. Just wondering if anybody experienced chickenpox in a similar way

CP usually starts with just a few spots, they come out in waves for a few days.

It could be CP - probably only know if more spots come out. If they are not bothering him at the moment, and his temp has gone, there's probably not much you can do except wait and see.
