My LO (11w&5kg) has been prescribed omeprazole for silent reflux, dissolve half tablet in 10ml water and give 5ml, is the dose. Been on it for 5 days and is bringing up bits of feeds, not projectile but more than what i consider her normal. Also refusing full feeds, use to manage 5/6oz over 40/60mins (was always a battle with the reflux) but now it’s no more than 3/4oz and the tricks from previously no longer work and it’s refusal.
My questions are:
Could it be making it worse?
When did people see improvements whilst taking it?
If omeprazole hasn’t work for some of your LO - what’s the next step?
