12 months development milestones

My little boy just turned one, he's always happy, smiley, always been very forward with everything such as his sitting, crawling, standing and cruising. He did take a few steps before he turned one but he never did it again.

I had my one year development check with the health visitor and by some of the questions she asked me it suddenly made me feel like he isn't as on track as he is supposed to be.

She asked me whether he will point at an object to show me he wants it, she asked me if he was to see me putting away objects into a tub etc would he join in and help. Would he assist me in putting on his clothes, or hold his hands out for me to wash them.

I know all babies are different, but by 12 months should he be doing these things? He'd gladly help me empty out a basket but not put things in, and changing his nappy and dressing him is like a wrestling match so no chance of him assisting me putting on his clothes. And he's never pointed to say he wants something.

He started waving a few months back when someone waved at him, I myself only saw him do it on one particular day and since then he never did it again. Did the novelty of it just wear off or should he be able to do this too?

He eats well, he says mama, dada, baba, nana but the stuff the health Visitor asked me has just put it in my head that he should be doing the other stuff.
