Hiya my 7 year old son has been feeling sick for the past 4/5 weeks, he's been treated for reflux but meds didn't make any difference.
He's still eating all meals but often doesn't finish them in case he feels sick. I've weighed him and he's lost weight since the doc weighed him, he said his eyes hurt so got them tested and optician said they were fine. He's tired, pale skin and drinking a bit more than normal.
We have the doctors tomorrow to get his glucose levels check but I'm worried sick about what could be wrong. 😢 Anyone else's kiddies had similar symptoms?

could it be stress/anxiety?

i only ask as my son often complains of feeling sick/stomach pain when his anxiety spikes... he was really bad with it at about 7/8/9 years old just before he was diagnosed with Autism.. turns out it was caused by the sensory issues that the school environment was causing him.

Obviously rule out all the medically physical stuff, but it might be worth looking at his stress/anxiety levels too.. its very common for it to manifest as 'stomach pain' at that age.

Good luck, and i hope he's ok. Flowers

@EmotionalSupportBear thank you for your reply.
I was thinking it could be anxiety but wasn't sure with the weight loss. He does complain more about feeling sick when we're heading out/going places. He says "what if I'm sick mummy." He also gets travel sick which doesn't help when we're going away.
We have been to the docs a few times now but this time they said they want to investigate further which I'm glad they are doing. My mind is thinking all sorts.
