Pain relief for 5 year old

My 5.5 yr old DD has been complaining of a headache all day, she feels really hot but doesn't have a temperature according to the thermometer. She's slept all afternoon. She has a sore throat and no other symptoms. Negative lateral flow. 111 app says to give paracetamol which is my problem. Whenever I give her calpol it makes her vomit - every time without fail. Is there anything else I can give her? It says tablets aren't suitable until age 6. I've got a cold compress on her head but needs some pain relief

Can she have ibuprofen?

If headaches are unusual for her then I would also get a PCR. Not on the government list, but a highly reported symptom especially combined with a sore throat.

Nurofen for children. It's an ibuprofen dispensing medicine like calpol

You can get suppositories. Not sure if you need prescription from gp. Trust your instinct on how unwell she is though and get further medical advise if you’re worried and she gets worse

Its the sorbitol in it. Tesco own version of Calpol doesn't have sorbitol and is fine for my DD who usually vomits up Calpol.

Thank you all, I've managed to get some Tesco version of calpol down her
