Any idea what this is on my babies face please?

DD is 6 months old, she is fine in herself, drinking milk fine and happy.
I asked the GP the first time she had very similar on her face a few weeks ago. That time it went away on its own completely a couple of days later without any treatment. I’m asking here because I would like to know if anyone has experienced similar with their baby and what it was diagnosed as and what treatment was given please if any.
I’m wondering if I’m doing anything wrong and what might be causing it to happen again.

I hope the picture has attached.
This time the circular mark has come up like last time with red around the edge and a kind of indent in the middle. But in addition there is a redness further across her cheek underneath and the skin looks a bit rough and pimply in places. I don’t know if this is related.

This is my second baby health related thread this week. Poor DD, it’s all happening at once 😢

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Could it be ringworm?

Sippinongingernjuice
I wondered if it could be something like that but when I asked the nursery nurse following the GP she couldn’t see how it could be as DD hasn’t been mixing with other babies or young children so it would seem very unlikely.
But now you’ve said it, it’s not impossible? I’m starting to worry and I’ll be googling….

I’d say eczema. Ask a pharmacist, they are generally pretty good and it may give you peace of mind.

Looks like ringworm

Just looks like dry skin to me. Don't google, ask a pharmacist! If it is dry skin then E45 cream should sort it

Looks like my DSs cheek if he's been out on a windy day and has had a runny nose or wet cheeks

albertsquirrelnuts · 28/10/2021 20:06

Do you have pets? My daughter caught ringworm from our cat.

Thatsplentyjack · 28/10/2021 20:07

I would say that just looks like a small patch of dry skint. I've had things like that before. I doubt it would be ringworm. Have you tried putting some moisturiser or vaseline on it?

NotMyselfWithoutCoffee · 28/10/2021 20:07

Looks like dry skin but might be worth showing the pic to gp.

Viviennemary · 28/10/2021 20:09

I immediately thought ringworm. GP sounds pretty hopeless though. You could try asking at the pharmacy.

Also I found aveeno really good for my DS eczema, diprobase wasn't doing the job. With aveeno it has cleared up almost completely.
He started getting dry skin in patches at 6 months which ended up being eczema.
He now has a twice daily emollient.

Have you started weaning? Could it be contact rash?
