Hi so my DD 3 has had a horrible cold for the past 2 weeks after starting nursery, she has the worst cough ever at night when she's lying down. Can anyone recommend something to help ease the cough? We haven't slept in nights as she's up constantly coughing and heaving 😔

I asked my gp for an inhaler after ds3 had been coughing for two weeks plus. His cough disappeared after two days of using it. It might be a coincidence but I dont think so.

@Mumshappy so maybe worth phoning the GP? It seems to only be at night it's at it's worst.

As pp we got an inhaler, helped extremely quickly and stopped him waking at night coughing

My Ds was mainly at night and he was just getting more and more tired every night as he couldnt settle. I rang my surgery to request one and a gp rang me back quite quickly so I had the inhaler and spacer by about 3pm. They said to let ds play with the spacer so he could get used to it.
