My daughter has had a cough for 5 weeks it's only gotten worse in the past 2 weeks every night and every morning. She had antibiotics before it got worse. I'm not sure what going on. Doctors say her lungs are clear...any cures? We have a humidifier, tried Vicks, cough syrups etc

Following / Bumping this as we're going through the same with my 3yr old. It's not so bad during the day - but gets so bad at night he just can't settle no matter what.

Hi has the doctor said anything about asthma? I put a post up the other day my dd experiencing the same thing.

She is now on steroid tablets which are definitely helping.

It's worth maybe mentioning it .

My son was the same ag that age. Inhaler might help, even just for the short term. I was fobbed off for a long term. Thankfully he's mainly outgrown it. He'll start get a lingering cough after a cold but not half as much as he did at your little ones age! I remember he just coughed non stop for weeks.

I always thought it was because we lived in a very damp flat during his baby and toddler years. But we moved out when he was 3 so not sure if that's or not.
