So much illness is this normal?

DD started nursery on 12th September and since that time she's had 2 colds, covid and a vomiting bug. She's only really done 2 proper full weeks due to her 10 day isolation and then mine (I couldn't take her as mine was 2 days later).

Is this normal, or at least at the moment? I remember when DS1 started nursery he picked up a few bugs, but at least somewhat spread out, this feels like shes ill all the time.

She probably had 3 colds in 3 years before this, went to a childminder 2 mornings per week but nothing like this. I'm starting to worry she's got some sort of weakness. She eats quite healthy, lots of outdoor time etc has a multivitamin so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Also op we found the two week break over Xmas and NY gave our DS a good time to recuperate completely and then he didn't get quite so many colds as before.

I don't know why this didn't happen with DC1, other than my memory tricking me? But DC1 went to a day nursery at 2yo and picked up a few bugs from there, maybe by the time proper nursery started some of the bugs had already passed. It feels like a bloody onslaught, I just totally didn't expect it to be this bad. Naive I suppose but expected maybe one cold a month or similar, not 4 things in 5 weeks, and as pp said, it goes round the family so it's like there is no point where there isn't nightly temperature readings, should take out some shares in calpol at this stage!

Dd has been unwell since she started nursery in February.

I think she's had 4 weeks she's been well but we were away for those 4 weeks.

You just need to ride it out I'm afraid.
