DS after sickness bug

Hi all

My DS, 3, had a vomiting bug on Sunday night into Monday. It lasted 24 hours, he couldn't keep anything down but by Tuesday was happy having small plain picky bits, probably ate around a quarter of what he usually would in a day.

However I'm just a bit worried as his appetite doesn't seem to be picking up. He's asking for certain things that are his favourites, pizza and tomatoes and berries etc but then when they're ready he is only managing a tiny bit.

Is this normal after a vomiting bug please? He's never had one before despite going to nursery, he picks up colds but hasn't picked up tummy stuff before. He's a bit pale and wiped out still but generally good humoured

Thanks

Entirely normal in my experience. Mine wanted less volume but higher calorie, or salty/tasty stuff in the first few days. Give it a couple more days and they'd eat anything not tied down.

Ah brilliant thank you @Bigfathairyones !

I'm not used to vomit illnesses. Don't bat an eye at coughs and colds now but this one has been a little shock. Turns out my gag reflex is horrific and that I find no comfort at all in the fact it's my own child's sick Grin

I'd get him tested for Covid. Lots of kids from DC school have tested positive and the main system has been vomiting.

I did think that @DancingQueen85 and have done two of the LFT at home. Very difficult when I can't tempt him with his usual kinder egg bribery for letting me do it! Both negative though
