Freaking out about feeding from dirty dishwasher

I put this dishwasher on eco mode today. Dinner time come I opened it got the pan utensils some plates etc out. Made dinner for me and my 11 month old and both ate it. Afterwards when I was going to empty the rest of it I realised the tablet hadn’t dissolved ! So we have just eaten from a cold wash that had dishes with milk meats etc in and has basically just been circling in cold water for 2 hours !? Am I crazy to be worried about this? The eco wash only washes at about 30/40degrees and with no tablet it would have been just mixing it all around and not killing any bacteria. I feel terrible for not noticing this before using the utensils and feeding my baby and me and now potentially making her ill Sad

You'll be fine, try not to worry about it.

You'll be fine. It's the agitation and the water hitting and spinning the stuff that removes most of the bacteria anyway.

Flufferty · 12/10/2021 20:36

Relax. It's fine

Hellocatshome · 12/10/2021 20:36

30/40 degrees isn't cold water and they will have been rinsed well at the end. Not ideal but you will both be fine.

I really don’t think you need to worry about this OP. Your 11 month old is surely licking shoes and eating mud anyway, a few dishes with trace amounts of old food on won’t harm her!

dementedpixie · 12/10/2021 20:38

30/40⁰C will have washed the dishes fine. Was there not a drying cycle too which will also have killed any bacteria

Babies lick the floor and eat leaves they find I the garden. You'll all be fine.

It’s fine.
