Daktarin & nappy rash

My 18 month old has been prescribed daktarin to treat a suspected fungal infected nappy rash. We collected it after the doctor closed last night & I'm not exactly sure how to use it? It only says twice a day on the cream so do we not use it for every nappy change? Also some people online suggest doing a layer of daktarin then a layer of sudocrem?

Has anyone else been prescribed it for the same reason and if so how did u use it & how quickly was it effective?

Also If anyone else has any magic cures for this please let me know!! My babies in so much pain 😞
