My son had chicken pox when he was 2. He is now 9 and I feel like he may have them again!! I have contacted the doctor and had to send them a picture but they weren’t very helpful, I got a ‘if they get worse and blister it’s chicken pox, if they fade it isn’t’ More spots have appeared but I can’t decide if they are coming to a head!!! This is so hard as I don’t want to keep him off school unless I really need too. Thoughts? Thanks I’m advance

It’s a waiting game isn’t it. But you need to keep him off.
Contain whatever it is within your walls.
Dr probably not interested at all. It’s a good old fashioned childhood illness that will get better on its own so they won’t dedicate any time or energy to it.

picture?

We certainly haven't heard much about CP in last 18m, on MN.

If its localised on one side of the body then it could be shingles

Could it be hand foot and mouth (or could he have actually had HF&M when he was 2 and it wasn't actually chicken pox)?

I always think the blisters look really similar.
