Hi,

I have two boys 2 and 4. The 4 year old had only been at school two weeks and they are both now on their second cold!! Every winter they have like a couple every other week. Anybody have any advice on how to build their immune systems? I give them sambucol and vitamins they have a lot of
Fruit and vegetables. Any advice??

Try to avoid ultra processed food, get plenty of exercise, drink lots of water.

This one's a bit controversial for their age group but, when it comes to colds, I try to limit dairy as dairy is a hotbed for mucus. I ensure they get enough calcium from other sources. I don't keep them off dairy permanently, but when theg get a little snotty,it seems to do the trick.

Sounds like you're doing a great job already, it is frustrating but does improve. Healthy food, exercise and encouraging the importance of hand washing will generally get you to a much calmer place in a term or so!

Since Covid it's just awkward because my sons school don't want them in school if they have colds but I don't want him to have too much time off obviously.

exercise outside in daylight
varied diet (eat the rainbow)
good sleep
vit d3 supplement

that's all you can do really. getting colds is a normal part of childhood. it's good for them.
