Another toddler with a rash...

DD has rash/spots and a temperature which started this morning. Comes down with calpol and is happy as larry, not eaten all day but is drinking and having ice lollies. Need to know what it is as I'm pregnant. Will ring GP in morning but any ideas?? Its on her hands, feet, belly and back and a big cluster just above her bum crack which she keeps itching. TIA!

Looks like viral rash to me can’t see any heads like you get with chicken pox.

My child gets speckledy arms like this with the hot weather but not with temp. 111 for peace of mind? How old is your DD?

How are the palms of her hands?

Is it possible she's not eating (aside from lollies) because her mouth hurts?

The foot shot looks like my DD did with HFM... Which in DD's case should have been called 'Hand, Foot, Mouth, Torso, Legs and Arms'...

Her hands are spotty too, not had a look at her yet this morning as shes snoozing at the side of me. Shes 2. Yeah I was thinking HFM have asked nursery if anything is going round. Its just her hands, feet, back, belly and a patch above her bumcrack. Unless there's more this morning.. am ringing the Dr at 8 as want to know what were dealing with (im pregnant so want to know too) thanks all

Been told roseola by one doctor, chicken pox by another.. it now it looks like this.. so I'm not convinced its either but I'm not a dr... any ideas?!

Hi

My DS looks like she has HFM disease and it is so awful to see him in pain. He started with a slight fever two nights ago and now the blisters have appeared around his mouth and hands. He is still drinking fluids but he just spends the whole night crying. I have given him calpol and I don’t know what else does anyone have any suggestions ? He just sobs it’s heartbreaking.

Not chicken pox, there's no blisters.

I'd guess HFM - it can definitely appear on the torso.

If not, I suppose it could be roseola. Could be scarlet fever - has she got a red tongue and throat?
