Hayfever worst than ever in September.

Dd 6 has suffered from hayfever and other allergies for about 2-3 years.

For the last two years it's been at its worse in March/April/May. A lot better June-August. Then is worse again September to October. Is that normal in the coming autumn? I thought it was just a spring/summer thing.

Is this normal?

Any advice? She takes antihistamines which do help but some days like today she's been suggesting badly.

Mine has been bad this week. I suffer mostly with tree pollen in the early season but I live beside a wood and the leaves have started to fall so wonder if it’s somehow connected.

mine is bad this week.
the dryer warmer days mean more pollen in the air.
it's also starting to be fungus season. they also release spores that can cause hayfever.

Must be horrible! Not experienced it much mhself.

Dd woke up really sneezy which is usual for her but usually an antihistamine does help. It kinda did for a while and she was fine by this afternoon but this evening after being outside a lot today she's been suffering again!

She suffered quite badly into October last year!

Hoping the school don't send her home thinking she has a cold!
