My sons hands seem to keep peeling. I'm not sure whether this is down to picking but they look quite sore. I've been putting baby moisturiser on them but I'm not sure whether I need to see a doctor about it. Has anyone experienced this with their lo? I'm a bit perplexed as to what it could be.

@Lizbiz89
Hi, my DD hands peel when she is under stress or is anxious...it has happened since she was a LO and she's 36 yrs...she told me her hands were peeling this week! Lots of work stress for her going on right now.
Hope your LO feels better soonFlowers

Could you show a photo , OP?

If you haven't already done this, it might be helpful to take photos on a regular basis so you will have something to compare to at latter dates and to show to the GP.
Is it on both hands at the same time? Is it all over the hands or just a certain area on the hands? My Dsis picks at the bottom of her foot when stressed and it does seem to be in only a certain area because the skin there starts to heal giving her more to pick off.
Also, could it be allergies if it is on both hands?
My DGM was allergic to a name-brand washing detergent and she would get an angry rash on the inside of her elbows from it, but nowhere else.Confused
How old is DS?

My nephew had peeling hands and the GP said it was athletes foot that had spread. Gave them some cream for it and it went away

Thanks for the replies. It does seem like his skin is shedding. It's only the palm of his hands so I did wonder whether he's allergic to something. I think I'm going to give the doctors a call on Monday and get it checked out. Nothing else is wrong with him and he's happy in himself so I'll keep an eye on it until Monday. I didn't realise you could get athletes foot on hands! Could be that then.
