Hi , will your kids be having the flu nasal spray this year , my dd is 15 years and never had it she first have any other under lying health issues

I had both my 14yo and 12yo done in boots last year (flu jab)

This year the vaccination programme has been extended to include all secondary aged pupils.

Dara that is shocking. For DS1 either his allergy and immunology consultant organises it or his respiratory consultant.

Thanks @overworkedrobot - I hadn't spotted that!

It seems to be sniff only, so not suitable for some DC with underlying conditions, plus those with an immune-compromised immediate household member, but they should be able to access the injectable via GP

Nether yes, any child who is eligible for the spray vaccine but for whom the spray is contraindicated is eligible for the injection on the NHS, however it will be delivered by the GP rather than the school nursing programme.
