It's soooooo long ago since I went through this that I can't remember.

DD started he periods a year ago at 12 and half. They were coming about every 23/24 days and she got a bit of pmt, spots etc. All normal.

Anyway, this summer they have been all over the pace - 43 days then 17 days. She's also put on weight and looks a bit bloated - despite eating healthily and doing loads of exercise - she runs most days and plays lots of team sports. She's def not over-eating,

She's small - only 5 foot 1 ish and I'm wondering of there may be a growth spurt coming - although I thought girls didn't really grow much after they started their periods.

Anyway - any advice would be greatly received as she's struggling with what is going on inside and outside of her body.

It’s a myth girls don’t grow after starting their periods.

Could be growth spurt, could be hormones settling down. Lots of reasons.
