Piles on <1 year old?

I naively assumed babies couldn’t get piles but my 6 month old DS definitely looked like he had a visible one at his most recent nappy change. He’s had a few days of looser than normal (BF) stool after a bug was brought home from nursery by his sister so assume that’s the cause

dr Google says just to wait until the cause has passed and the swelling should go down too. Is this really the case? Has anybody experienced similar before?

Don’t want to waste a GP appointment… assuming we could actually get one…

Ask -the chemist about haemorrhoid cream. Piles are really itchy and can be sore.

But I would be ringing the GP on a child that young, just for an opinion.

I’ve done an e-consult so hopefully they’ll get back to me tomorrow
