My 3 yr old had to be put to sleep for a minor procedure yesterday - came round very upset but fine. All obs were fine abs we were home about 4 hours later (evening)
Woke up crying at 3am and had a fever of 38.2. Brought that down with calpol and nurofen. But today on and off she’s hot to touch and shivery. Temp ranging from 36.8 -38.1. Going up and down quickly and randomly.
Have spoke to the hospital ward and they said sometimes you can get a bit of a fever post anaesthetic? Or it could possibly be unrelated and she’s caught a bug.
Has anyone had any experience of this after anaesthetic??I'm really worried
