Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has given their DC wormwood supplement to clear worms. DC is 8.

Thanks

I thought it wasn’t recommended for children when I’ve looked into it.

I don't know, this is why I am asking. I have never given it but was wondering if it's an option.

I don't think it is. You can buy Ovex over the counter for about £8 and it works quickly. Dd was in agony when she had them so a quick effective treatment was needed.

go to the chemist a get the appropriate medicine.

Just go and get some ovex. That's what it's there for. You'll need to treat the whole family and again in 2 weeks.

I would not do this, no. Just get the poor child some Ovex! It works quickly and is safe.

Worms are horrible, please don't make your child suffer longer than necessary. I actually just keep it in all the time now just in case.

And encourage them to wash their hands regularly. At 8 they should be able to understand that they catch worms from getting the eggs in their fingers and then putting their fingers in their mouth. Good hand hygiene is the best way to break this cycle and help prevent catching them again.

Thanks for the advice!
