Fever after 8 week vaccinations

Is anyone else at this stage with their baby? Baby had vaccinations today and has just had third dose of calpol (was advised to take three at 4-6 hour intervals). He does have a bit of a fever but otherwise just seems a bit sleepy. The nurse seemed to be saying to give it two days and call if he still seems unwell but the advice just seems unclear:l.

If he has a fever tonight, he's had as much calpol as they said to take, so do we just wait it out for a day or two (unless he seems unwell otherwise, I assume)?

Having a bit of fever after vaccination is totally normal. It's part of the function of a healthy immune system responding to the de-activated version of the virus that is in the vaccine. It's most unlikely that your baby is having anything more serious than this, and will be totally fine soon. However if you are worried it is totally fine to check in with whatever medical professionals you are able to access - far better to spend a little time checking that all is well than to feel you can't "bother" them and potentially miss something. Your instincts are important, as only you will have a really good understanding of how your baby is doing.

I think this is the thing. I don't know whether I need to call 111 if I know it's due to the vaccines. Is it d ferrous to get a high temp anyway?
